"When I received COBSS awards on my graduation night, I was beyond grateful. My goal was to attend McGill University in the fall but there was a lot that had to be taken into account. Between out of province tuition, residence, and textbooks, COBSS relieved a major portion of that stress and allowed me to focus on the schooling aspect of university rather than the financial aspect. Furthermore, COBSS helped to make my first year here at McGill an easier and enjoyable transition."
"Film has always been my passion, so the Motion Picture Arts Program at Capilano University was an easy choice for me. The more difficult part was finding a way to fund this opportunity. The support from COBSS helped ease the financial pressure, and allowed me to focus on my studies. I am very thankful to them and would encourage all future graduates to apply for these bursaries and scholarships."

Receiving a COBSS award was a great kick off to graduating and seeing my classmates receive their awards was an exciting and inspiring moment. Beyond the ceremony, the award itself really helped to defray the initial costs as I began university life in a new city. Since then, I've completed my B.Sc. at University of Toronto, public health graduate studies in Hong Kong and am pursuing a career I love in health research at National University of Singapore. I was, and still am, very thankful for the support from COBSS donors during that time of transition and change.
